I had the flying figure made some time ago, and had originaly hung it from a chain. It looked crapy and I wanted to do something to improve it. I had also wanted to try doing a kinetic rocking sculpture for sometime and finaly got around to working out both problems. The counterweight is solid bar and is probly well over a pound, so the sculpture has some weight to it. Once you get it rocking, it goes for about 20 minutes. I still have some cleanup and grinding to do. You can still see the welding flux in a few places. I might even bondo and paint it. still deciding.
